Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has restricted public access to the Ramkund area for 15 to 20 days. The stretch from Ahilyabai Holkar bridge to Talukteshwar temple needs paving, concreting and other works finished before the 31 October flag hoisting. NMC Commissioner Manisha Khatri announced it on 12 October. This is confirmed on record.

Khatri said, as quoted by the Times of India: "We have decided to restrict access to the Ramkund area for the next 15-20 days due to the various works that need to be completed before the flag-hoisting ceremony."

What visitors should know
