Teams from Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) and the pollution board took water samples from the Godavari on 5 October. The samples are for the Godavari pollution contempt case in the Bombay High Court. Pudhari reported this on 6 October.
This is a media report. It has not been officially confirmed.
Where the samples were taken
The teams took water from three spots:
- Kapila Sangam
- Nandini Sangam
- Dasak Ghat
When the report goes to the court
The test report is to go to the High Court in about eight days. This is an estimate, so the exact day may differ.
The court had set a deadline of 27 July for the sampling. Floods delayed the work, so the samples were taken after that date.
What this means
- The results will go to the court. They will be placed before the High Court as part of the contempt case.
- We do not know the results yet. The report has not been made public. We will not guess what it will show.
- The sampling came late. Because of the floods, it was done after the court's 27 July deadline.
